Parco-Sinclair Theater Originally opened in 1924, the Sinclair Theater served as the town's cultural heart for decades before closing and falling into disrepair. This project restores it as a multi-use venue, sensitively integrating modern amenities and meeting code requirements. The original seats were exchanged for wider replicas, cast from the originals. ADA accessible restrooms include historically accurate art deco wallpaper. Custom patterned carpet, coordinated with the historic palette, complements the carefully re-graded floor for universal accessibility. Modern systems - including HVAC, fire protection, and electrical - are carefully concealed from view in the shallow truss space above the theatre's wood ceiling. Historic lighting and interior finishes were restored where possible, while concealed performance and AV upgrades–including new stage lighting, projection, sound, and mezzanine projection booth–expand programming for film nights, presentations, weddings, and community events.
